About Me

My Story

Hello! My name is Timothy Pamplin.

I've spent the last 5+ years working in customer service/sales selling electronics for several different companies (Target, T-mobile, etc...). However, I think it is long past time that I left that career to pursue my true calling. I've been coding for as long as I can remember. Although it hasn't always been my main focus, I keep coming back to it. In 2010, for my 12th birthday, my parents gave me my website, timpamplin.com, it has undergone many iterations over the years, but it has always been my little corner of the internet. Now, thanks to careerfoundry.com, I can turn my corner of the internet into something I'm really proud of.

Over the years, I have worked on a lot of different projects. Unfortunately, virtually none of them have survived to today, with the exception of this little game I made about 8 years ago, it's kind of cool because it features a custom 2D physics engine that runs entirely on javascript, so it runs in virtually any browser. Other notable projects include the game "Cousin William Sends His Demons Back To Hell", a much more complex 2D platformer, which was on a hard drive that was accidentally destroyed, and subsequently taught me an important lesson in backing up your files, and a program I developed for Thomco Insurance, which identified processes in their "Rate Forest" insurance underwriting software that were wasting resources.

Now, I'm only looking for one thing. Something interesting to do with my time. So if you have a puzzle to solve, I'm your guy. Feel free to contact me.
